Needs pointers on my 2010 V6

Performance wise i I only have the flow master AT's done. Any ideas on x-pipe or resonator delete? What should I order? possibly a CAI? I am open to any ideas that will help to give me a nice sounding V6. The flowmasters have helped a lot but I always want more.

Do you want better sound or better performance? These are really two different areas...but they do overlap.

Add some shorty headers to your setup and you'd gain a little performance but have great sound.

Add long tube headers and you'd have a good performance gain but then you'd have to add something to your exhaust setup like a resonated X pipe to calm down the crazy loudness and rasp they long tubes will produce.

As far as performance only, there are lots of things that can be done.

Welcome to the forum man...read on...as times have been great for the Camaro V6 LLT engine as of late....we've found great inexpensive ways to make the car run fantastic.

If I do jab shorty headers, would the bbk resonated x pipe make it sound good. Does the resonated x pipe make it quieter?

I'm assuming you know the different between a standard X pipe and a resonated X pipe.

A resonated X will quiet it down some...but the positive side is it will also cure most of the rast and lessen the in cabin drown and usually lowers the exhaust note just a bit as well.

If you are thinking of shorty headers...I'd try them first without any other change and drive it for a little while and see what you think. At that point, if you feel you really need to calm down the rasp or the drone...try a resonated X.

I don't know about the BBK X, but the magnaflow's part # is listed in the V6 exhaust sticky thread.

Welcome to the V6 forums. I see you live in Memphis. Should check out the local Camaro club (links in my sig below).

As far as performance and sound. As KMPrenger said they are two different things but tend to overlap. The shorty headers don't give as much performance, but don't have rasp like long tubes do. The shorty headers tend to have a deeper tone also. I would recommend for your exhaust setup to first get headers then based on sound either do a resonator delete or put on a resonated x-pipe (BBK or Magnaflow).

The resonated x-pipe does quiet it down some, but also helps control rasp and drone.
