Is that your ported IM?

And when do you sleep? I got mine back from the powder coater- it's still sitting on the bench though...

Agree it is looking really good too! That green looks better to me every time I see it.

I thought I had used an engine primer on the plenum cover but I didn't, so it will have to be repainted soon. Everything else but the valve covers are painted with 500 degree paint, with primer and clear coats with 2000 degree paint. The only problem I've had with paint is the driver side valve cover, the paint blistered from the extreme heat.

Its my stock intake manifold, MACE still has my ported one. Painted with dupli-color gloss black.

I never sleep, sleep is for the weak and the Marines. GO AIR FORCE!!!

I used a self etching primer and the paint and clear are all rust oleum engine enamel. I find it kind of strange that something that is meant for engines can be fading so quickly on the TB. Guess time will tell how well it will last. If it fades I will either repaint or get it powder coated.

Dunno why it would be fading so fast, how many coats did you use?

Also Vent, your IM looks good. About the only good thing the LLT has over the LFX, we can paint our IM.

For about each piece I have about 2-3 coats of primer and 2-3 costs of paint with the last being thicker and then another 1-2 coats of clear. My fuse box that was done with normal non height paint still looks perfect

Thanks- my first effort was truly ugly (tried to match the IBM). The paint chipped really easy. Decided to go Day-glo for the second try- WTH!

Talked to Arno and got a new tune. I did a WOT in 2nd gear and memorized the RPM's and AFR and told him, he got me a new tune back within an hour and I got it loaded in the car. Took a quick test drive and it feels good, but I need to see how it does after the LTFT's are settled.

Arno also said that all tunes have the rear o2 sensors disabled, something about the sensor getting too hot from the supercharger.

It will be nice to see the improvements. When do you think your car will make it back to the track?
