It was converting to a LS3 MAF, allowing more airflow for 3.33 pulley. I couldn't get it to work at idle due to turbulence so I need an air straightener. Decided to stop messing with it and get ready for the torque converter. The LS3 has a higher resolution than the LLT MAF. Right now I can't go higher in boost due to blowing through computer limits.

After I make this attempt for 11's I'm going to work on 15 psi setup.

15psi, heck yeah! Idk who's gonna be picking their pistons up off the track first, you or me...

I will only hit 15 PSI in 50 degree weather. In the weather we have now I only hit 11 PSI, so the 2-step lower pulley will put me about 13 PSI. I'm also only hitting it briefly at 7200 RPM's, whereas a Turbo will be hitting it at its peak torque causing more stress. I think the engines will be fine as long as there isn't excessive detonation rattling the pistons.

Right now the DA will be around 3000-4000, so 0.3-0.2 seconds slower than perfect DA. Since I will be almost 200 lbs lighter than my 12.4 run, it should be even and the gains will be solid. The wheels and tires are 10 lbs lighter each, so that should also help out.

Got the drag wheels installed and ready for tomorrow. Lost some of that sleeper look but can't do anything about it.

I've thought about it, but I rather get new wheels for wider tires. The Lorenzo comes in 20", might get a full set of them.

Yesterday around 7 pm the DA was around 3700, at 9 it was 3300, 11 it was 3170.

I'm just hoping for a good step in the right direction, my ultimate goal is 10's. The Mustang V6 has done it with a Procharger @ 13 PSI.

First run I will be locking the torque converter midway through 3rd gear and all through 4th. Depending on how that goes I might leave it unlocked in 3rd and then lock it in 4th the next run, just depends on how crowded it is. Going to try to leave my GoPro on this time, I have yet to record one of my 12 second passes. Might try putting on behind me on the driver side, see the gauges.

Long night, I can't get the converter to flash more than 2200 which is only 500 better than the stock converter.

Well, it was a very long night, didn't get home till past midnight. I managed to get 5 runs in pretty fast but after that it took forever to get another pass in, got 2 more though. The best I was able to get the torque converter to flash was 2700 while doing a brake stall, which in the youtube video is the 3rd run. The good news is that I had zero wheel hop and the drag radials hooked all night long. The bad part was that I couldn't get the converter to flash correctly. I also was running very very rich at the beginning for some reason, 0.8 lambda at 11 PSI even with most methanol removed. I had to remove a ton of fuel to get my power back at the top end.

During my torque converter install when I had the driver side header off, I re-clocked my knock sensor to be parallel with the ground instead of with the rods, something the Cobalt SS owners talked about on HP Tuners. I wasn't getting any knock till 4th gear when the coolant temp was getting hot from running, so I need to add a bunch more timing. I also can't get the torque converter to lock at the beginning of 3rd gear, I tell it to look at 60 MPH, it doesn't even start till 70 and finish till 75. For some reason that part of the calibration is not being used correctly.

Will keep working on the tune, adding a lot more timing at low RPM since looking at the logs it looks like I was running 1 degree more timing on the 2700 flash than the 2200 flash. I run stock timing at low RPM so that might need to be bumped up heavily now since I don't have the same load.

Only managed to get 3 runs recorded, felt bad for the couple in the last run, that was my G5 run and they probably didn't know what happened.
