For the record, I saw significant gains with first the JBA high flow cats and second the JBA shorties. They were part of the whole bolt-on package that got my stock A6 from 13.2 @ 106 to 12.1 @ 113.
All this done with NO MOTOR TUNE. The shorties stayed on when I added the ProCharger and served well at 620rwhp. There I was running 10.8's at 128. When I was preparing for the next stage, I added JBA Long Tubes and dynoed again. Guess what? 620rwhp. No change, AT THAT POWER LEVEL. But when I CNC ported the heads and lowered the CR, then the JBA LT's really shine: 720rwhp/680tq, 10.3 @ 133. Point is, headers are part of a whole package. Shorties are a good part of a BOLT-ON package but are maxed out with the Supercharger. LT's are good for both: bolt-on and big HP. Since performance gains are noticeable with shorties, then I feel their other benefits need to be considered: less expensive, self-install, can be run without a tune (as I did), will pass most emission inspections. Yes, LT's are great, but Shorties hold their own. And I've been happy with my JBAs for both. Padre |

I have JBA ceramic headers and they have been great since day one.
