With my hands at 9 and 3, as the previous poster said, it is very straightforward to turn the wheel 180 degrees. Your forearms do come close to each other at that point, but at no time do I confuse my right hand with my left. If I want to shift up, I use my right, and if I want to shift down, I use my left. Simple, and not confusing in the least bit.

I do think some of the mods discussed on this forum will make tapshifting even easier, but the existing buttons work just fine.

I guess in my old age I'm not as flexible as some because It is impossible for me to turn the wheel 180 deg and still keep my hands on the buttons but then with the mod on this thread it shouldn't be a concern any longer, it hasn't been for me for quite some time.

Really cool to see these installed! They have came a long way. It's nice to see the Hurst engraving too instead of the B&M.

I haven't read through the thread, but has anyone else commented on how close that metal is to the leg? That thing will rip your leg wide open if you get in a wreck...

Maybe it's just the way it looks in the pics?

Nah... it's well rounded on the end. It will catch on your shorts sometimes when you get out of the car if the wheel is turned left a little.

There is a second paddle design made from delrin plastic that has a shorter, more rounded lower lobe to choose from.....
