iPhone "no music files found"

When I plug in my iPhone into the usb port it starts to charge and connects just fine, it then will "index" and then a window will appear "no music files found" although the music is playing through the speakers and the iPod screen is behind the "no music files found" window. if i touch any button it will revert to "FM".

I guessing i need a software update?

2015 Camaro.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You.

I'm having this same issue literally out of no where. Was working fine in the morning, did not change anything on my phone and now it will show "No music files found" and start playing. However, clicking OK returns to FM radio.

I've rebooted the phone multiple times as well as power cycling the radio.

Going to try removing the radio fuse and seeing if that works.

Happens on mine as well the usual problem for me is the iPhone if the music app is open it usually has a problem connecting and throw that no files found , it also happens in my 2010 Range Rover sport but it will say can't connect to device, just open the iPhone and close the music app and it should work just fine

Resurrection of a long dead thread.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

I'm currently using Spotify. I can see the name of the song behind the "no music files found" message.
