I have it and I love it. Didn't need NAV because I use my phone. You will need a bypass if you are thinking about some video watching and rolling

I have the 8000nex and the scosche. Biggest complaints are that the chimes don't sound as "nice", my key fob distance is very hit/miss now, and the scosche's touch screen seems rather flimsy. This could just be my kit though as i bought it second hand. I really enjoy the radio though.

Not sure. will have to look but I believe I may have the AB model. i'll check the part number on the unit itself. Curious to see if there's a more stable product available.

I put mine together and so far everything seems fine the remote distance could be better but overall it isnt too bad . Other than that I dont see anything else .

Like it ALOT , the carplay is awesome . The only thing about carplay is it only works on Iphones so theres a draw back , But this thing is AWESOME ! Believe it or not , it really improves the sound IMHO . plus GPS , HD radio , SD card reader , 2 USBs , DVD/Cd player , HDMI . Where could you go wrong ?

Does the 4000nex retain steering wheel functions? I heard the NEX line has issues with that.

Yeah the steering wheel controls work , rarely it acts wonky . But 98% of the time works perfectly although the talk button to pull up onstar doesnt work unless you get the onstar attachment . if you dont have the attachment like I do it will just stop the music for sometime and you have to mess with it .
