"Timed" Bushings
Forgive me for not knowing but I have recently seen mention of "timed" Bushings. What does "timed" bushings mean? Making sure they face the right direction? Thanks ahead of time for your info.

Should be done if you have lowered your cars ride height with springs.
This post explains it all!! (Bushings/Bushes = same thing!) Quote:

Timing the bushings is VERY IMPORTANT for proper ride height, alignment and ride quality.

Thanks Jay and Caverman. I had never heard of the "timing" until the last few days. You learn something new every day!!!

I've lowered at least 2 other cars before the Camaro and didn't know about timing the bushing either. Learned it from here.
And....from personal experience I can tell you that it makes a difference. When I first put my Hotchkis springs on I didn't know to do it. Then went back and had it done and I could feel it was less bouncy of a ride. Felt like a slight spring board before. Now I have coilovers, which you would still have to time the bushings, and the ride is even better.
