What is the minimum quality of gasoline that you need to use in your Camaro in order to prevent the car from needing to be "reset" in order to keep the engine performance optimal?

I don't understand why GM doesn't reflash the ECU on the car so this doesn't happen to our cars.

91 minimum. If you have 93 use it

The fuse pull, as originally posted by the Dr., worked exactly as promised. Make sure to run the low octane out of the tank and refill with the good stuff before pulling the fuses. Yeah, I know it sounds like a "duh" thing, but just tryin to help.

Had to reply... I WAS pulling my fuses with no luck ?????? and still had power of v6 ??? . So i disconnected battery, and it did the trick for me.... - Think best way is to disconnect battery now,as far as im concerned... as was only way my car would go back to better fuel/timing.. And if you add any aftermarket stuff like say ? C.A.I, OR OTHER MOD, The manufacture of that says battery disconnect to relearn...

This doesn't make any sense. There is a battery back-up between the ECU and battery. You have to kill the power to the ECU and reboot to reset the ECU. Something weird is happening.

Wrong, battery between the battery and ECM. You would have to leave your battery disconnetted for days for the ECM battery to run down.

Well you can say im wrong, but still a fact that me pulling my two fuses [over night] had no effect on my v6 powered, S.S. --BUT when i did a battery disconect, it cured my car... may not make sence to somme, here, but just posting my results..... MMMMMMMMM,,,, Makes me still wonder why then if you SAY, ADD a CAI and they say -----to disconnect battery !! not pull fuses to reset.... So where then is this battery between ecm and battery in trunk ???? [in ecm ????] ... Guess i would have to do some wiring diagram study to see this and figure out ????..

I always thought pulling the battery cable was more for safety than anything else.

I'm so confused. Your v6 powered SS???

What does that mean?

And what does a CAI have to do with anything? Nobody said anything about a CAI in this.

All I know is i pulled the fuses last night after putting in the cai and let it sit overnight. This morning I put them in and went for a ride. The Beast was alive. Of course this could have a little to do with the cai. But the whole car felt and sounded alot better when i floored it. Felt like i had alot more power and quicker acceleration.
