anybody with any assistance, please share: I am stepping into all angles, the purpose is to locate a zone to introduce an engine design unlike the conventional. I have contacted the big 3 and other car mfgs. w/ no avail. I merely would like to share a new concept unlike the typical 4 stroke. The design has no crankshaft, valves, cams, etc., 2 moving parts per cylinder, 2 combustions per revolution per cylinder. This design has been cleared by 3 engineers w/a potential future. I would like to place this possibility in the hands of someone who may give life to it. The apprx. size is 24"w, 12"d, 12"h, 169cid, 3"bore, 3"stroke. any suggestions will be appreciated, thank you. James

Get a copyright and a trademark. Then introduce it to a science magazine for publication. Once you get it published and verified, seek some grants so that you can build it. Once you have one built, you need to retrofit it into an existing ride. If it runs appropriately, you will do much better selling it. You need to do most of the grunt work alone, but when you're done, you could be a millionaire.

I am very curious - if you get any articles published let me know what magazine and I'll pick it up!

I am doubtful about your claim, I went to school for mechanical engineering. But, I don't know enough to say it can't be done and I will still help you along. First off, get it patented and not from some cheapo with a 1800 number. They screw people over. After that, get a prototype built. Once you have a prototype, try to get it into a car from a junk yard. If possible, drive that out to Detroit. If not, just take a working prototype or at the very least a mock up. show the automakers that your idea works either through demonstration or engineering analysis, preferably a demo. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be something that they can work with you on. They won't bother with some guy who has a couple ideas sketched out on a napkin.

And make sure you can make a case for it!

If you go in front of one of the big three, make sure you point out very clearly WHY it's better than a conventional engine (fuel economy, power, durability, packagine, etc, etc). SELL IT! Otherwise, it's not worth their time.

And GOOD LUCK!
