Just another hater story

So last my husband and I were at a gathering after the funeral of his best friend. The guys are drinking beer and having fun making fun of each other's trucks. Basically the Ford Boys against the Chevy guys. Anyway, somehow my Camaro gets brought into the discussion. First guy makes a snarky comment about the 6.2 liter engine. I tell him well it does have 426 horses. He went on to tell me about his Charger SRT that would've have smoked my SS. It ran something like 9 or 10 at the track. I asked if it was modified, well yes of course it was. My comment was you can turn a car into a rocket if you throw enough cash at it. The comments went on for a while from everything about the tranny to the stripes. Finally I had enough and stood up.
I told them all "I love my car, it makes me happy so eff all yall, AND...
its my birthday".
That pretty much shut them up.

People, who shoot their mouths off like that can't be reasoned with regardless of how much common snese one may inject into a given conversation.

No use in doing a battle of wits with unarmed people.

You are so right, throw enough money at any given vehicle and you can make a rocket out of it.

I love my Camaro, it's powerful, looks great, is comfortable as all get out , and its mine. That's what's important in the grand scheme of cardom!

Good for you! I always loved talking to those guys... you'd be amazed at how many 9, and 10 second cars there are out there!! Too bad most of them have never been to a track to see how slow they're ride really is.....

That's sound like merely garage trash talk among men. We do it all the time when we hang out in the man cave. Women shouldn't get into these conversations because they take them too serious.
