Engine cover fabrication?

Anyone here ever fabricate an engine cover? I saw some really nice ones at the Goodguys cars how last month and was thinking to take a crack at it. Seems like fiberglass would be the way to go. If any has done it or has information about how to do it I'd be interesting in that.

I've got a buddy that does some really cool custom fabrication. Here is a photo of an engine cover he did for an S10 LSX build he sent me the other day.

Here is another custom set up he recently did.

Apex - man that is some nice work! Beautiful. Metal too, that takes some skills . Yeah, I'm looking to do something on my own. Fiberglass looks like the way to go for DIY considering I don't have the tools (or the skills) to do sheetmetal like that!
