Lookin' good Doc. Hope you get all of the driveshaft stuff sorted out. I didn't realize the CF and aluminum driveshafts were only about 2 lbs apart. We stuck a 4" aluminum in the SST because a few of the turbo cars shredded CFs at the connectors.

You are always a wealth of "Weight Watchers" info...

I'm not into 1/4 mile; I prefer road course but I may go to a drag night at the local track just to see what the car can do.

I've had some inquiries about my list of "to do" items so here's the list I've been working on for a year and a half.

Items in red I have here but haven't gotten installed yet. As you can see I'm almost done with my list, but I keep looking for things to upgrade as they become available. Modding is like an addiction; you can't just stop lol.

Awesome, Doc. I'm shocked you don't have out beside each mod the gains/weight, like, "Lightweight lugs are 2 pounds less than stock lugs."

CF
Got her lugs because of her Mod Guru.^

P.S. #15, plug wires. I haven't heard of this mod. Expound?

LOL yeah I suppose I should put the weights next to each item hehehe. I got the plug wires because they have improved insulation for being next to headers. The stock plug wires tend to get cooked and brittle next to the heat that headers produce.

And I consider it an honor to be your mod guru.

Yeah Doc. Nice list and it would be great if you could put the weight savings with each item. We could get that list put up as a sticky that would really help members looking to shave weight.

Based on "popular request" lol I've started itemizing my list; still in rough form and not complete yet but what do you guys think? Is this readable enough or would you like to see it in a different format?

Any problems with the aluminum lugs? Stripping/galling and what are you torquing them to? Thanks, I'm looking at those too.

No problems with my lugs and I've had them for half a year now. There was someone on C5 who got ahold of some cheap knock-off aluminum lugs on Ebay and he had a problem. The ones Doc has pictured aren't the same, though. The ones he and I got have a logo, the ones in question didn't.

Edit: it has now been a year & a half: no problems.
