So, 2014 spring seats were installed in a 2011 vehicle? When ordering from BMR, was the year of the car requested? If so, then BMR would have sent 2011 model year springs, not knowing you had different spring seats. My guess is their spring price listed for 2010-15 years is the same price. Thus, BMR just list the price for all years and sends out the correct version for your model year. If the purchaser changed parts, how is the supplier to know? If the model year was not requested, then how would they know what spring package to send out?

All I see is that BMR received the issue, made a solid attempt to right the error by shipping him the correct springs and the OP is being nitpicky about overnight shipping. I see BMR stepping up to do the right thing in this case and I'm very happy with my BMR stuff.

I still dont understand how every spring manufacturer on the market lists their springs as 2010-2015 including BMR. How is it that all of a sudden one set wont fit and there are different configurations? I dont have BMR. I have Hotchkiss. Same same though. I dont see how this could be anything but an installation issue.

Or they just sent him completely wrong springs since they do seem to make springs for other vehicles. Maybe they sent him Mustang springs.

The V6 and V8 springs are different to my understanding.

BMR, can you explain why you made a revision of your 2010-2015 V8 1.4 drop springs?

And can you attest that you are pulling all of the old version off the shelves, so this doesn't happen to your next customer?

Either that, or start asking your consumer more specific questions at checkout to ensure they get the right parts.

I am not impressed.

Even if he got an old revision of the springs, they should of work just fine. Companies make revisions to products all the time that has no effect on how the product fits or functions.

TC and I had a private conversation and decided to stop commenting here, since we were at a stalemate with my concerns and the restrictions he had, the whole thing is behind us, But since this is still getting a lot of hits, I'll clear up the outcome.

I sent the springs back and received the corrected revision, the top of the springs were different on the ones I got in return, and they now are installed and fit correctly. I can assure everyone this was not an install issue as the top of the spring was at least 2 inches bent upward and not flat to mate to the top hat, whether that was their mistake or just a wrong spring, whatever. things are right and the car handles phenomenal.

Now, with that being said, I still do not know why there are 2 or more different versions of this spring if all the top mounts etc. are the same or should operate the same. but I now have the correct parts, and that's what counts.

TC did help me out and we got everything straightened out, and I am satisfied with that.

I always make sure that I am buying the correct parts for my vehicle by contacting the company by PM, phone or email before I order.

BMR has always been more than helpful making sure I was ordering what I needed.

Right on. Go digital rather than verbal before you pull the trigger. If anything goes wrong, you have a message with someone’s name on it. I was in techie sales for 30 years. I started using Internet email on day one of it’s availability. It has saved me a ton of grief and confusion. Try it, you’ll like it.
