Is this a "Factory" or "Dealer" Package ??

Brother in law bought a new Camaro back in March. It is a bare bones Cyber Grey LS with manual trans ... the only options on it are the compact spare and satin black hood & deck lid stripes.

The kicker is ... it has "Satin Black" Trim rings with a red pin stripe around it and CHEVROLET emblems on either side of the hood.

Is this a special "LS" package from the factory, or a dealer spruce up ?? He saw the car at the dealer moments after it rolled off the truck, however it DID get tranfered from a dealer up in Michigan (they are in Arkansas).

The factory rally stripes have a trim ring around the sides of the stripes. The others are dealer add on's.

best way to tell is was it on an Add-on sticker or the factory sticker?
I hope they did not try to pass it off as a factory option because it isn't...

Car was brand new with less than 10 miles on the odo. We knew for sure the Arkansas dealer had no hand in the upgrades (he saw it moments after it came off the truck), so I was guessing the dealer up in Michigan did the minor package upgrade, but was not sure.

I did not think you could even get the stripes from the factory on an LS (or 1LT for that matter), but the build & price shows them as options now.

On this particular car / color, I really like the black trim rings better than the std. silver and the little red tape pin-stripe they applied to the face of each ring just looked so well done I though just maybe it was a factory pkg. to spruce up the base LS Camaro.

You can get the factory rally stripes on any model Camaro... I would say the black trim rings and red Chevrolet on the hood were added on by the dealer that originally got the car.

i agree with what everyone else has said. a motorcycle dealer near me puts their own decals and stuff on some of the bikes they sell.
