picked up my 2010 2SS for 12K at a dealer

really really excited, i absolutely love this car.

Clean title, showroom interior, all creature comforts working minus the XM radio (no subscription).

black on black.. on black 2010 6l80e 2SS
100,000 miles
minor paint imperfections (2-3 bird droppings on hood sat to long)
cracked windshield, being replaced at dealer cost
needs brakes, super cheap at brake motive
50% rear tread life on pzero's, new front tires, nittos are very affordable
driver side fender has a ding
was throwing 100 codes (because the car was running untuned with LT's)
paint slightly peeling on front chevy bowtie, and ss grille emblem
faded brembo brake calipers

retuned locally by rick clarke in corpus, all codes disappeared $300
ordered new pads (about 50-70$ a pair) front and back
turn the brake rotors, free
will replace spark plugs with NGK tr55's (for now untill n20, then will be br7ef's) $20~
windshield will be replaced at dealer cost
ss grille emblem, 22$ on ebay
carbon fiber chevy bowties 5$?~
faded brembo brake calipers brake caliper paint kit $50 ~
complete in and out detail from the best detailer in the world $100
muffler delete ~$80
tires, undecided yet
Needs new filter for the CAI.. or 'recharge' $10-?? price of new filter

and voila, i officially got me a steal!
I'm so glad i know my lsx's!

Welcome and congrats on the buy! I find your forum name humorous, but then again I'm easily amused lol. Sounds like you got a good deal.

thx! i been a long time ls1tech member, and it pains me to move on from my old 98 ss.. it really really does.. but i just couldn't pass up on this price

Anything you recommend next that I do to this car? I cant even tell what headers I have, I was told they were TSP 1 7/8's. And a CAI from rotofab?

boy o boy its tempting.
i'm not familiar with how much a sbe ls3 (or l99 in my case) is capable of, or how high of a RPM you can spin these cars, or how reliable the 6l80 ectect

Congrats! SStole that car!

I wonder if those are aftermarket halos or just the phone camera.

its the camera!

Its white in person. Same thing with my old SS, it looks bluish in pictures but its white in person.

It spins the tires at 70mph, it scarred the hell out of me!
