Hello All,

I recieved a call from my dealer today (great guys and gals) and was told they recieved a call from their area rep stating that the SS package was going to be going on a long term constraint and that he better get what he can ordered now. He did not give me an idea of what long term was, but to give you an idea I had them holding my order so that my 2SS would show up in April/May. He told me that it would be longer than that if I waited (considerably longer was his words). So, I had them place my car now since they had allocation. Just a heads up for those of you thinking about ordering!

I called my dealer for a friend and he told me it is already on constraint, until they get the ratio of LT's / LS's to SS's back in line with their projections.

Makes no sense to me, but I bet it means they will be raising the price of the SS's next year!

Edit: I have been told this is due to supplier issues, which makes more sense to me!

let's see if I have this correct. Our original projection ratio of LT's to SS's was wrong so we ramped up production of the SS's to meet demand. Now we would like to get closer to our original projections so we are going to constrain production on the vehicle that most people want. This sounds like a perfectly logical decision from a company who went bankrupt and took a bailout from taxpayers. Brilliant simply brilliant!!! Way to go GM, let's build a ton of LT's that we can't sell and make people wait for the SS"s. We all know how happy everyone was with that.

Sounds like a good way to sell cars. If you want a ss you better order now or you are not going to get one.
