I just got my magnacharger set up and the sct tunner that came with it when I tryed to use the tunner I got an error the part number on the tunner says 3416m which I believe is correct for GM but when I go into the tunner and look at device info it says fw version 1.2.118 then below it says fw type: ford I would imagine this is not correct but was hoping someone with this sct tunner could confirm what there's says thanks in advance

Call SCT. Have your PC running also. They can update all the firmware Remotely.

This. SCT will get you fixed up. I had problems with mine initially too. I think the only difference between the 3416 and the 3400 is the 3416 comes pre-loaded with tunes. Not sure why it says Ford in there though.

You can update your firmware automatically online.Instal the disk that came with it. Connect it to your pc and run the program.
The "M" is for magnacharger and when you update it online you'll get the latest tune for your maggie also.

It's best to just call them anymore. The auto update mechanism is not to be trusted. They're also pretty notorious for not having their latest version online.

It did work for me eventually, but i haven't tried to hook a wideband up yet.

Ya I tried to update and do all that stuff with the disk and with there online stuff what it came down to (i spoke with sct) is I have a GM tunner model with ford firmware/software on it very strage they said. But I am getting another tunner sent to me form the place that I got my maggie from. thanks for the post.
