Well its been many moons since I posted here, but really enjoy reading all the great info.
I am looking to trade my 2010 IOM SS/2SS/RS/Man for a 2014 Red-Hot or SWhite SS/2SS/RS 1LE w Recaro, Perfor Exhaust, NAV, Taking advantage of the discounts and 0% financing. What an unbelievable BAD AZZZ car !! My question for you enthusiats.... To Sunroof or not? Does it matter? Personally I perfer without, but I am going to be limited on inventory. Thanks for any advice!! |

I barely fit in ours with a helmet and no sunroof it would have be impossible with a sunroof, and more weight, possible leaks, ect. I rather save the money

sunroof is over 45lbs, if you track, it is the worst place possible to add weight.

I do much more driving on the street than on the track. The sunroof lets in more light to brighten up a drab, gloomy interior. And on a nice day or night cruising with the roof open is almost as good as a convertible to me. I do drag race often so my helmet is on only for a few minutes at a time. It's not so bad. I did a track day once and even there I got used to my head slightly touching the roof. So OP if helmet clearance is a big issue for you go back with a helmet to the dealer to check it out. Everyone will fit a little differently. If you can live with the helmet clearance then get the roof. If my 1LE was for track only then I would not get the roof. But I want my Camaro to be good at everything. And it is!

No sunroof you don't get the roof ditch with it changes the look IMO
