I'll be slightly upside down on my loan, but I'm still probably going to lease. In 3 years I may be getting stationed out of the U.S., so turning it in would be the best thing to do. PLUS, I love the hard tonneau cover - Mustang won't match it for a while, if at all. |

I'm giving some consideration to a 6th Gen. 'vert. I think it'll be terrific but I'll obviously want to see it in person first and would wait until at least the 2nd MY so any mechanical or top issues with the new gen. can be found and fixed before I dive in.

You have two perfectly good reason to keep the 5th gen Ryan!
I am also concerned about the drop top. From the videos I have seen.. it seems as if the top just lays on the top of the car... Kinda has me worried. But it is modeled after the corvette from what I heard? I still have issues with my top. I moved to Alaska right after I got it fixed and havent been home in almost a year to check on it. I am spending a week with her when I get back to VA to make sure everything is ok with it. But I already reserved the 1st allocation for the vert at my dealership. Im hoping for good things..

The car is really nice seen it at camarofest in person. My next one will be a coupe so I can go track it and feel more safe (not rolling over). Would like to add another and keep the vert.

A SIX SS vert won't temp me but, if they still make a vert ZL1, THAT will attract my attention. I will not buy a coupe.

Not for a few more years, bought my last new car with the 5th gen vert. Adding on to our Deck House, so am on at least the 7 to 10-year plan.

My 2013 only had 15k on it so I won't be trading it in anytime soon. I also don't trust GM any longer. I would want to wait a few years to see if any issues develop. Even then I don't know if I would buy GM again. I'm kind of surprised that isn't the general mindset here. Especially with all the horror stories I'm sure most of us have read about, if not experienced first hand.

Ford's not completely on top of the game either. Mustang vert owners are reporting that they don't get their tonneau caps with their new vehicles & that it's a royal pain getting Ford to send them. With the 6th gen verts, the rear decklid covering the top when it's down will virtually eliminate any top abrasion from the fabric "flapping" in the wind. I'm willing to give GM one more try. |

I would love to get the 6th gen vert....in theory, the top functionality looks better than the 5th gen....and no flapping in the wind...
Problem for me: cost here is going to be prohibitive for me at this time and the trust factor with GM...I do not want to be another guinea pig when it comes to the tops. I might wait and pick up a slightly used one, but I doubt the $$$ numbers will work for me, so the 6th gen. is probably out of the question...I am not a fan of the new exterior design but I love the new interior. |

Nicest looking vert I've seen in years that isn't a vette. I'm not a vert man and I would consider one.
