Hows the ride with the lowering springs? Also at 1 1/4 are you scraping everywhere and riding sideways on speed bumps? Im thinking of getting some lowering springs soon just dont know what height to go with.. nice looking camaro btw!!

I picked up my SS just over a month ago and was feeling the same as you. I loved the car the from the first time I drove it but I always like to do my own thing with my cars. The first thing I did was wheels and tires followed by Hotchkis springs. Then i did a cold air intake and tune. Next on my list is tint then drive it for a while before it isn't enough and I need to do more power add-ons

Congrats I just bought a 45th anniversary as well. Yours looks great. I think the stock wheels look great, they are 20's front and back.

Skip Shift Eliminator (keeps you from having to go from 1st to 4th)
CAI (CAI inc, K&N, Vararam and many others out there - a nice bump in perf) Throttle Body (95mm if no tune, 102mm if planning on tuning) Headers (a must) High flow cats or catless (a must) Catback for your preferred sound (minor performance upgrade) If you are going to do suspension, I recommend you look into the Hotchkis set. It is day and night difference (on my 10 at least). On the 12, you have an upgraded suspension - but still, Hotchkis outperforms the stock sets... and to me, its comparable or better than the 1LE kit (thicker/stronger sways, chassis brace etc. on the Hotchkis set) A tune - but be careful if you still have warranty. This will void it. MOST IMPORTANTLY - Have Fun! These are Awesome Cars! |

Here's the list (in order) of things I have done to my Camaro so far:
1) Protection film on front of car 2) Window tint and black tail light bezels 3)Muffler delete axle back exhausts with Airaid CAI 4)Black machine-washed rims 5)LT headers with high flow cats and performance tune |

I agree with UBB. I would have the exterior paint professionally corrected if there's any chips, scratches, or swirl marks then I'd wrap the stated sections in clear 3M PP film. I was going to suggest joining a local Gen5 car club & go to a few car shows to get ideas & suggestions for your ride, but I see that you're in Germany....would check out both this forum & YouTube. There are many great members & threads on this forum to assist you. I do see that you're parked in snow....besides adding the wrap, you might want to add some more undercoat protection & powerwash the underneath once the snow clears. That road salt can be your car's worst nightmare.

You are getting a bunch of suggestions and i would take them all into account and figure out what fits your personality the most.
For me, this is my first camaro, so i started with the looks first because i wanted to learn and get use to the driving/handling. here are my mods from start to present: 1. tinted windows. 2. remove/added badging. 3. plasti dipped rims to see what black rims would look like on MY car. 4. Vararam CAI- i did extensive research on all CAI and felt this was best in performance, not worried about looks under the enjoy while driving. 5. engine cover paint and vinyl- only because my wife got a cricut machine so i abused it. lol.

Beautiful car, and I know they get much more attention in Europe due to their relative rarity. They are a great platform for mods, both power train and cosmetic. Looking at our sig lines, you can see the mod bug is strong!
