So, I did this two nights ago. Have had the car six weeks and with 6000 miles of 91 octane driving. The driving did change, but that could also be a factor of simply clearing out the other "learnings" of the computer. I'm assuming this computer learns driving habits like many other cars do. What I did notice was the accelerator was a bit livelier, giving me better response that I was hoping a tune or Vitesse controller might do. But it wasn't the drastic change like when I accidentally put 87 into my Infiniti, and shortly thereafter corrected it with octane booster.

I know this is an old post but wow this worked for me. The car had been sluggish and sputtering a bit at low rpm under load after the fuse pull it idles better and no more sluggishness. I thought it could be the plugs or wires

Did the fuse pull thing last night. Because I bought used I had no way of knowing if 87 had ever been used. Seat of the pants dyno today says "ya" it helped. Fires up quicker and a bit more responsive. Thanks Apex Mortorsports.

Yep, when I first got my Camaro in 2011 and I saw this thread I had to try it out, and boy did it make a difference in how she ran. Even though I ran 93 oct fuel in my Camaro after I bought her, the dealer always puts 87 oct in all their cars on the lots they are selling. When I went to pick her up and they told me they 'FILLED UP" the tank with gas, I asked if they put 93 in it, and they said no, they always were "told" to only fill the cars with 87. So I wasn't happy about that! Then I joined this forum and learned A LOT !!! Thanks everyone...
