Unknown Rocker Switch??

I've had my Camaro SS for almost a month now and I just noticed a rocker switch in the console. I always assumed that someone had broken one of the clips on the trim and used a Christmas tree plug to hold it in place. However, the "Christmas tree plug" is a rocker switch, and I don't know what it's for. I've pressed it and it doesn't appear to do anything.

I removed the plastics and found a bundle of gray wires. It appears to be spliced into the 12 volt power system and it is grounded, but I don't know why it is there. Anybody know what it is?

Something someone added. Trace the wires, or just remove it.

Guessing Here: Maybe for Ambient/LED lighting but sure is NOT the kit the factory throws in the trunk for OEM option and the dealer installs (California company makes it for Chevy).
Here is what the OEM kit looks like - for cup holders and footwell:

Typically that where peoe would hook up the ambient lighting. But they usually don't come with a switch. Looks like it could have been used for something like exhaust cut outs.

Someone clearly removed aftermarket audio and/or lighting. I would trace and pull all the extra wiring out. It will be easy to tell what is factory and what isn't. I have definitely yanked equipment and left the wire on a trade in before. Not worth the previous owners time to yank the wiring. Buddy owns a used car lot and I've had occasion to help him clean out wiring on a used car or 2 as well. Disconnect the battery for safety, cut the wires where they spliced in, use non insulated solder in butt connectors (solder them) and heat shrink to put them back together and she will be as good as new.

I took the console apart more just now. I pulled the bundle out and found that there are two gray wires going down towards the transmission. I don't know if it's related to that but I'm pretty sure it's not ABL related. Also, there is no exhaust work done, everything is stock. The only thing that is upgraded it a CAI intake. I'm lost.

Might of been a switch for cutouts if it goes under the car and they put the stock exhaust back on when traded in

Trace the wires like everyone is saying. At least find out what color they splice into. No one is going to know what a mystery switch is on YOUR car. Find the color of the spliced wires and post a pic

To me they look like cutout wires. Specially if they go towards the trans. Is the switch on and off or momentary switch?

It's a momentary switch. It can be pressed up or down, but it is always facing straight. It looks somewhat like this:

Definitely cutouts then. They must've put stock exhaust back on there. Press it both ways 5 seconds or so. If your lucky the cutouts are on there out of sight
