2010 L99 Reliability

I currently have a 2012 Camaro 1LT.I have had it for 15 months and I love it but i want to move up to the SS now because I want more power.I drive the shit out of my LT and it takes it without any complaints.I like the price point for L99'S and LS3's from 2010.However 2010/2011 being the first two years of production,I would assume they might have some issues.I just wanted the V8 community's input on 2010/11 SS because I don't have a clue...

Best built car I have ever owned.

My only problem is the resonator rattles but that will be fixed with a Jegs resonator eliminator pipe today.

Do your home work just like you would on any used car and buy one with the lowest miles possible.

I got mine with only 12,000 miles on the clock.

My friend owns a small dealership and I told him what I wanted and he found it at the auction.

It had full service records the balance of the 5 year warranty 1/2 life on the stock Pirellis and was not modded.

I love it.

I'm at 77k miles on mine, driven daily.

No warranty here, I have long tube headers, resonator delete, muffler delete with a cold air intake and tune.

Driven pretty strong and it doesn't cause me any problems.

Had the tranny fluid changed out at 70k and oil changed every 3 months. 10w30 here Penzoil of course

I haven't had one issue with mine. Other then the recall items that came out right away, and those were fixed. I got one of the early builds (took delivery June 2009) and still I absolutely love it!!! Now, I do baby it a bit and it only has 25,000 miles on it. But, its a solid car.

another thing to think about is, yes that is the first 2 years of production on the Camaro but not the engines. They have been tested and developed since 2008. the l99 just has afm. Now depending on what you feel like doing with the car, the rear sway bar is not the greatest in the 2010 and 2011. But that is pretty easily switched over with lower control arms and a new bar. Other than that I have been nothing but happy with mine.

My early '10 Camaro L99 has been near perfect. The only dollars spent outside of regular
service/oil changes in the past 7 years has been one tail lamp bulb for about $4.00. No
complaints here.

My 2010 LS3 has almost 80,000 km's on it and she's running good. I've done all the bolt on's, cam, supercharger and supporting mods over the last 15,000 km's.
