Much better bang for your buck and superior quality in an entry level component set.
Just curious to know why you do not agree with the Alpine PDX series amp?

Not worried about mounting any amp because I have a side sub box there and I can just mount it to the back of the box.
You say you would not have chosen the PDX-F4. What amp would you suggest (4 channel since I already have the sub)??
I will probably upgrade the front speakers pretty quick but not bother with the rears. Either leave them stock or disconnect completely.
I can tell you the PDX-F4 will never shut down no matter how hard you push it or how hot it gets. Performed perfectly with the set up I was running 3yrs ago. That being said I will be upgrading to the PDX-F6, it pushes more power, plus the design is superb. They can be stocked to save space, while retaining the same cooling capability.

Does that mean you'll be selling the pdx-f4?

I have the PDX-F6 and it is a very clean amp and can be pushed to extreme levels with no strain. You will not be disapointed

Money

There is something to be said about the customer service with dealing with a top tier, legitimate retail dealer and the warranty service they provide. Dealing with Amazon to save 30-60% has it's own level of risk that many are not comfortable with, especially if new into the audio world.

Ended up buying a Sundown sax-100.4v2. Now I just have to find a place to mount it.

Alpine PDX V-9 is the best amp selection 100 watts x 4 to the speakers and 500 mono to the sub. It fits in the stock location and its under rated so it actually is 120x 4 + 560 to the sub. Ita power house and you only will need that one amp to power an entire system.

It all depends on what type of set up you're running. Others may need more power for their systems, and that single amp might not be enough.

What is a good sub to run with the PDX-V9 in the stock location? Do most people just run a single voice coil 2 Ohm?

Thank you.

But 1% THD at rated power is a little more than I am interested in... My JL 900/5 sounds great (does not fit in the stock location ) It may with more work than I was willing to do.
