Holy Brake Dust!
Just put 45 minutes of driving on my ZL1..no hard braking and the fronts are already covered in brake dust!
Not really considering changing to aftermarket pads as I don't want to sacrifice any performance...but does anyone know of anything to possibly spray on the wheels to prevent buildup? |

Guess I'm used to it. But it was a little annoying after driving 5 hours and a guy asked if the wheels came brown.

It drives me nuts because I have to clean the wheels every time I drive the car; but I love the way the car stops so it comes with the territory.

Great Brakes, horrible brake dust. I have not found anything that reduces the dust on the wheels yet.

If you don't track it then change to hawk ceramics. They work great and have a lot less dust. They are also super easy to change.

Is there a DIY video for brake pad replacement? I am thinking of switching to the Hawk ceramic pads.

I'm switching pads! Sick of the dust on wheels and side of car, it's like a magnet! Pads will wear out faster, but rotors will wear out faster with stock pads I'm thinking. Could be wrong. Which Hawk pads do you like best?

I use ICE clear wax on my wheels and I used to on my C6 vet. It cut way down on the brake dust sticking and if it did you could dust it off with a California duster.
