Hello from Upstate NY
Hello all. I have been a member here since 2013 and have a 2012 Camaro 1LT RS. When I grow up I will have an SS someday... I would come to this site once in a while just poking around and reading articles and such.
Yesterday, I happened upon a car rally in Hamlin NY. All cars were represented from Camaro's (2 1967's) Mustangs (yuk) older pickups and everything you could imagine except tractors (ha!) so it was a good representation of a lot of makes and models. It was the first time I ever attended one of these things. Know what? I had fun! I always wondered what like minded people did when they got together, but it was nice to talk to a few other Camaro owners and see what they did with their babies. Lord knows here at home, no one shares in my Camaro enthusiasm. At the Hamlin Rally, I met a guy w a dark 2012 SS totally tricked out. Suddenly I felt inadequate! Like - "holy crap" his car was sweet to say the least. It motivated me to search for my next mod. I talked to him for almost an hour and didn't write down his name. Hoping he reads this post and will connect with me cause he mentioned a Camaro Owners group in the Buffalo area that was well organized and I was interested in joining. I forgot this guys name and the name of the group. I'm a 70's era guy, so as you can see I removed my stock tires and rims and threw on some classic mags w 245/55/18 tires because I wanted a smoother ride and the 20's were just too hard on my back side. I have always loved the look of the mag wheels since I was a kid. I have the caliper covers installed and to me my baby looks perfect (so far). So I'm ready to take my hobby to the next level. - Alex Brockport NY |

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Believe it or not, I get a lot of compliments on the color AND the wheels. I just wish it was an SS.

Stalin100: Amen brother! My daughter thinks its a softer ride and doesn't mind going somewhere in it.
Yours looks "Ghostly". Like it should be sneaking out of a fog to kick your ass. The color's beautiful. You have to make your Camaro... well, your Camaro - right? |

I was a young teenager in the 60's when Cragar Mags were the beginning and the end. Period. End of tune. It' s a great look, and brings back even greater memories.
Detail job looks terrific, too. |
