V6 engine knocking

My engine is make a strange knocking noise.
Has someone a clue what it can be?
You can hear it in the movie at 16 seconds till the end.
I made aprox 2000 till 2500 rpm for the movie. But if you step on the the trottle it stops untill you lose it and let the engine come back to 1000 rpm.
The sound doesn't go faster with the rpm it stay at the same rhythm.
The sound is located in the right side of the engine.
Can it be the chain tensioner?

Thx for the help.

AC pump maybe? Can't be anything in the rotating assembly as it does not change with rpm, the AC pump is clutched to spin at a constant rate I think.

That's no timing chain. Something is loose under the hood, possibly an exhaust shield.

Why don't you open the hood and listen while a buddy stomps on the gas pedal?

It's noting that hangs loose. I have checked that already. It comes from the rights 3 cylinders or at least that neighborhood. On the left side is no knocking.
And there is a loss of power also.

Loss of power is a new detail, so is the fact that you checked under the hood already. Is there anything else you've done?

Given these new details, I would second the rod knock guess. I bet the bearings are gone too. There have been several engines with this problem lately. I would go to your dealer.

Sorry, my mistake that I forgot to mention the loss of power. No I didn't check other things, Can I do other checks myself?
Do you mean the bearings of the camshaft?
Can I drive it to the dealer or better not?

It's a gamble driving a car with motor issues because you could destroy the block if it fails.

How lucky do you feel? Remember, we're simply guessing what your issue could be. There are a number of things that it could be but until a mechanic gets into your car, you're not going to know.

Here is a video describing rod knock.

@ TheHorse13, you're right.
But if rod knock is the case it gonna cost a lot of money I think and the car have only run 40000 miles. So that would be pretty fast.
Are the V6 blocks so vulnerable?

How is the warranty on your car handled in Belgium? Is it 5yr/100,000 mile warranty? If so, this is part of your drivetrain. It may not cost you anything perhaps. Or a whole lot less even if it's partially covered. Unless you've tuned it or modded in a manner to void the warranty, obviously. Did you talk to the dealership? Assuming you have one there.

In my experience, a rod knock is a rod knock, and it knocks at idle, low rpm and high rpm. This doesn't SOUND like a rod knock condition to me, but I'm not an expert on 15 seconds of video diagnosis on a V6. It sounds fluttery to me.

Even the strongest of engines can grenade when experiencing internal failures.

That said, the V6 motor has had a lot of timing chain issues, oil consumption issues and more recently, bearings wiping out entire motors.

The best thing you can do is get your car to the dealer. As another member already pointed out, we're trying to diagnose a motor using a 15 second video clip. It's not ideal.

If unsure and dealer is far I would call them and talk to the service adviser and first verify warranty (should be covered).. then explain the issue and let them recommend how to get it there but personally if you do not know where it is coming from and any concerns about the dealer covering I would have to brought there (towed) .. So hard to say from the video but my gut says its not good so would not take the chance. Please keep us updated!
