Started header install & found this

2014 2SS 15K

Pulled the plug wires and manifold shield and was just getting a few things ready for the header install tomorrow. Looks like my steering box is leaking?

I am not sure if it is a big deal or not, but now I am wondering if I should go through with the install or take it in to the dealer first? What would you do?

Going ahead with the install today, deal with the leak, if it is one later.

Same with mine, I only have 7k on mine and there's a slight leak there.

you're under warranty. take it to the dealer like it is and get it fixed.

Interesting difference.

I went out to looked at mine then realized yours is the newer electronic assist vs. the hydraulic on mine. Just for kicks I'll post a pic. Kind of interesting in the differences between the two. The steering box and the length of the shaft from the box to the U-joint is different. The shaft length from the box to the U-joint looks shorter on the 2014. Mine measures about 4 3/4". No doubt that would make a difference in the manufacturing of the header clearance in that area. As far as your seepage of fluid, looks a little excessive.

Right on guys thanks....manifolds are out and headers are going in, (on break) hope to fire her back up in a few hours. Getting tired and progress is slowing ha ha.

Power steering conditioner, might give it a shot and clean it up see how it goes, just not today.

Might not want to clean it in case you decide to show it to the dealer. I always hate it when some thing is leaking and I clean it up then I want to take it to dealer, but there's nothing to show them because I cleaned it up.

LOL, good point. I read that above and it didn't click. If some thing is leaking or seeping and it's not suppose to be, and it's under warranty. Easy, take it to the dealer.

Ok install complete, running good and sounds awesome. No idea how some of you install headers by yourself wow, thank goodness I had my son to help me.

Note to self..........when you disconnect the battery DO NOT close the trunk!!

Which headers did you go with? I thought you had to tune with headers? If not, would love to get some on mine!
