Many old car collectors wish we could see the "ghost" of the original window sticker on our cars. Would be priceless and cut down on debauchery and fakes.........LOL

Rubbing Alcohol and Water...

I had the same problem and when I got my windows tinted I asked the guy about it.. he grabbed a spray bottle he had and it was gone. When I asked what it was he said Alcohol and Water 50/50 mix....

Give it a try

I'm willing to bet its from the sun.

My dad bought a corvette from the show room floor and his ghost image went away in a few months because his car spent very little time outside before he bought it.

My girlfriend inherited a car from her uncle that had some sticker on the back window. That car was never garaged but was kept clean and the sticker was on the back window for about 1 year. I removed it with a razor and took off the excess adhesive with WD40 then cleaned the window with some diluted dawn then windex. That ghost image of the sticker was on her car for about 1 year until it went away.

Its not from adhesive residue because if you get dust/powder on the spot it wont stick and you can only see it when light passes through at an angle. Its the same thing as having an old school bra on the front of your car for years then taking it off to suddenly see your paint has 2 tones.

The UV light from the sun bleaches/fades just about anything it touches, even glass. It will only go away with time spent in the sun.

yeah window tinters would be able to clean it right off. They use their sprayer and I guess it is the alcohol and water mix along with a razor blaze and voila clean ass window to tint on.
