M228 Front Fitment Issues 2016 2SS

I am having a rubbing issue when I went to install my MRR M228 wheels on my 2016 2SS. I had these wheels on my 2011 and no problems. I am running the 20x10 with a 275/40 20 in the front. It is rubbing on the strut at the spring pocket. I am wondering if a 3mm spacer would be enough to alleviate the rub. Has anyone had this issue?

Without even factoring in the wider wheel, you went from this to this... Your front tire is 1" larger in diamater than stock...

Good info! So what I think I am going to try is using a 5mm spacer to see if it will free me up. I just ordered a set from Wildhammer Motorsports. Hopefully it works...

Chances are, with a 5mm spacer, you will not have adequate thread engagement on your lugs/studs. I would not recommend it.

I will try it and if it doesn't work I will send them back. As long as I can still engage the hub at full install and have around 10 pitches on the lug I should be okay. Thank you for your advice and concern...fingers crossed it will work.

FWIW, there is a 12mm offset difference between the 5th gen offset for the M228 and the 6th gen offset for the M228.

Mosaic is correct.
We manufactured 20x10 with +35mm offset for 2010-2015 that fits front or rear.
We also have the 20x10 +23 that fits all year Camaros and clears the strut 6th Gen with no issues.

I dont believe the 5mm spacer will be enough, but give it a try. If not, we have the +23mm in stock almost all of the time.

Thanks
Darren
