I had the same problem. Took it to the dealer and they did fix it. I believe this is the fix your dealer can lookup - (PI0565 sep 13 2011). It was covered in this thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=171343&page=2

Mine was fixed by tightening the tension cables.... loud and annoying at first, perfectly silent since it was fixed

I have a bit of wind noise from the right rear as well but all looks tight and no water has leaked in. I don't see it as a problem and I'm learning to live with it. I may check with my dealer and see what can be done. Thanks for everyone's input. It's always good to know one's options.

Hi guys,
This is my very FIRST post. In the "good old days" had a 1978 Camaro and have been missing it for about 26 years now. Today was the day I got to test drive a used 2011Camaro 2SS convertible. Problem was it was cold and snowing. I won't even talk about getting stuck in my yard as I am already kind of in love with it.

I did not get noise at the header or the right rear but did get a LOT of noise at the rear left window. It did sound like the window was down an inch and I kept trying to close it. Probably same kind of adjustment issue???

What all do you guys suggest I check and ask about? It has 9500 kilometers.

So far I am impressed with the way you guys work together. Nice family you have here.

I still have it in my garage so any suggestions will be appreciated.

Best thing to do is bring it in to the dealer to have the cable in the top adjusted. This seems to have worked for my top.
I would also find out what dealer the car was originally bought from and see if they have and documentation on TSBs that were implemented.
Other wise just go out and enjoy your vert !

This sounds like what I need. I had my top replaced, and was told I couldn't lower it for an entire month. It's been 2 or 3 weeks now, and the wind noise is absolutely awful, but they say they won't touch it until the full month has passed and the new top has "settled in."

I think maybe it's just time for a new dealer. Or is this normal?

Well the typical time to not put down the top was 1 week. But it. Also depends on the weather. If its colder it will take a little longer, but 1 month

Why learn to live with it? Would you just live with other defects in a new car?

I had a Camaro convertible for 7 1/2 years, and for those with wind noise (I'm one of them), it is NOT normal. It's not due to the fact that it's a ragtop, it's not due to the fact that there is less noise insulation than in the coupe - when you drive your car and it sounds as if there is a window down when there's not, that's NOT how a "sound" ragtop sounds. Don't let coupe owners minimize the problem or those who are first-time convertible owners convince you otherwise.

Now if you are one of those who decide to live with defects in a brand new automobile, so be it. But for those of us who would like Chevy to come up with a comprehensive solution for our top problems, this whole thing is getting a bit old.

With all that said, I adoooooooooooooooooore my car.
