Mass Air Flow Sensor Upgrade

Hello all,

I wanted to bring back a small discussion that I saw in 2011 or so.

The Bluf is, will using an aftermarket Air Flow Sensor bring improvements?
Here's what I'm interested in.
http://www.phastekperformance.com/JE...maro-69180.htm

The earlier thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107981

Was talking about: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/JET-69126/All/

The companies claim up to 45% more Air flow. (uh huh) Does that mean these are just smaller? Or will there be any signals to the engine being changed? For good or bad?
Thanks.

OP here, I messaged the company and asked if this changed signals to the engine, their reply was-

"Yes, we modify the transfer function which creates better throttle response throughout the entire RPM range."

Thought I would share.

if you search the forum you may find this item to be very controversial. I would think a tune could net similar results.

I recently installed a BBK intake on my '12. Just wondering has there been any updated info on this subject? Is this something I should look in to?

You are looking at a factory MAF sensor with a sticker on it. When you see Jet, just think snake oil. If you really want something to improve throttle response save your money and get a Vitesse or add a scoop to your intake.

Thank gawd somebody said this.

Thwy sold a jet "module" for the jbody and the charger, it was the equivalent of the intake iat resistor mod you buy off ebay... it was just a fancy plug in gimmick, and people were swearing it dropped .5 to a full second of track times.

And yes you can still search both forums for many of those posts.
