We do understand all the work you have done and i do hope this is successful, but people are not going to pay $1000 in this market. Even if $1000 is at cost. As you can see the market has determined 1k is too expensive. Its tough for people to spend 1k on the mount, harnesses, etc, and then pay another 1k for a head unit. So you are at $2k-3k. People will just buying a seperate gps for $150 and use that, even if its not integrated.

You could have the best thing in the world, but if a lot was spent in R&D and you have to sell it a high price to make some money back its usually not worth it. A lot of things coming out in the world today could have been made years ago, but it was just too expensive back then because the technology wasnt fully there to lower costs.

I hope you do get 20 people as this is a nice unit. I would have considered it, but my limit is around $350 for something like this. The metra unit to me is worth $200.

I totally understand. I wish i could get this thing out the door for less, just so you wouldnt have to settle for the other option. Im not even charging to cover my R&D time either way. It was more of a "I bet I can do it" thing for me. And I did, and just wanted to share it with the world. Hell, if i won the lotto, Id be givin them away.

i bet, i looked into what you did and was calculating costs, and could see costs around 1k for low production. Higher production you can get costs down, but if you cant get the initial ones its not worth it.

I'd probably do it, and make it so I could go back completely stock too, but I am out of work again and can barley afford gas :-( But you have done an amazing job!! Sorry I can't help out right now, this economy sucks, it's such a vicious circle, I can't work to make the moeny to make you money that in turns makes other people money...

lol ya guys i hear ya. i thought about doing a big run, but if i made them for less and sold them for say 700 or 600 bucks, i still dont know if i would even sell enough to break even ya know! I appreciate all the praise. I am selling the door projectors too. I think most of you guys have seen them. They are a little cheaper then the double din kit. heres the link if you wanna check them out.

Ya door projectors seem kinda???? Like what for??? Ricy in IMO and would love to have double din but for $1000 bucks no way that is worth it and I have money to throw around. I hate to say that 250 is much more worth it like the other kit I hate to mention. I like yours better but will not spend that much for this

havent gone through this complete thread, but i like what i see and am interested...

My car is going to be at next months DUB show and will be at the next sema show not to mention many others, the DUB show is next month, i think in the beginning some time, ill find out tomorrow. Cory Saint Claire is doing some art work for me, and I will have my car back next week probably, What is the turn around for the kit...

I was going to try and make one myself, but would rather leave it stock, then for it not to work right (although I am fairly talented)... the inside door panels and headliner are also getting art work, can the surface of this be painted/air brushed?

The pic on your site is actually a good pic showing the radio further away. I think most are interested in what its going to look like from a distance (as to not appear cheesy). Dont get me wrong want to see upclose to, but when standing at the door looking in and sitting in drivers seat want it to look as if part of the org car.
I think you did a good job and very interested but at $1000 and having to install myself along with buy another radio not there yet.
Would Love to see it painted to match an IOM or Red to see what kind of effect that might have. Maybe some photoshop expert could do that for us.

One side note....on the web site what program using to display images...The way the images tilt is very distracting and hard to manipulate.
