What do you want them to name it and what do you want them to power it with

Since EVERY thread in this sub-forum reverts to what they should call it and what type of NA motor their going to pull out of their hat. I figured this thread will let everyone compile their deepest desires. I just want an LT4 Camaro. I don't really care what they call it.

If it has the LT4, they should call it ZL1.

I suspect this is true, but hope they offer a stripped, lightened all out track version for those who want it (not me give me the goodies!).

They should learn from the Corvette's mistake and not follow it.

Call it the FU M6G...

(to anyone from that site reading this... I think most of you are just swell... but there are a loud few, and not just you-know-who, who are an embarrassment).

Oh, and I want it powered by the LSA, even though I know that won't happen.

I think the new HP track car will be a new Z/28.

The new SS can be optioned with MRC and 6 piston brembo's has all the "new" interior updates. Which is very similar to the current ZL1 performance specs.

This newer track car will be closer in name to what the Z/28 / IROC series of Camaro was intended for.

It took Chevy 50 years to bring back the ZL1. I think they let the name rest for now.

Just my .02

It only took them 10 years to bring the ZL1 back. Besides the original ZL1 was a 427 aluminum big block, not the car. The car was a COPO with the ZL-1 427.

There's no reason to change names up again. The ZL1 is the supercharged, comfort oriented performance car. The Z/28 is the n/a track monster.

Only reason I think they call it Z28 is because I think there will be a hotter blown LT motor and it will end up in a ZR1 and ZL1

That's not a ZL1 from GM. Meaningless to history.

The same could be said about the original COPO ZL1s. They came about because dealers figured out how to manipulate the ordering system. The ZL1 only came back because the Camaro team realized that car was not a Z/28.
