You would think someone has a personal interest in this endeavor! A competitor type personal interest! I'd never buy something because 1 person said I should, no matter who said it. That would be stupid!

I am subscribed and waiting. I hope it works out!

Funny because one person said brand x was good, and then lots of people started buying it.

I'm glad you understood what was being said in that post.

I was drawn in by that same thing that took X to the point of being on back order, back in the day. Then found at least three others that I liked more. Because of your honesty and work ethic, I sure hope, if I still had my Camaro, that the Cold Rush would have been one of my favorites.

Thank you!

I also feel the need to reiterate for the new people just joining the conversation, I am a person first, a sponsor second. I am not here solely to peddle my wares as some of the others are. Don't want to buy what I have? Don't by it, simple as that. My feelings won't be hurt.

Interesting. First time I've seen this thread. Just from the pic of your unit it appears the biggest advantage is being able to pull air without it having to make a hard 90° turn which is something air doesn't like to do. You're essentially breaking the single 90° turn into 2 lesser angle turns which would explain the increase in velocity.

Going to be interesting to see what the final results of the finished product are and how much this unit will sell for.

True. I tend to be skeptical especially when a lot of people start praising a product and even more especially when those people are only praising it because they bought it and they only bought it because others praised it and so on and so forth. And I have a feeling I know what brand you are referring to but I won't mention any names. If it is the brand I am thinking of, then most people don't even know the differences between it and other styles of CAI. I took one look at this particular brand and knew immediately that it was not what I wanted.

No progress to report unfortunately... I need a couple new "masters" of the MAF sensor mount 3d printed out before I can attempt to make a mold, and I'm told that it's going to be about 3 to 4 weeks before I can get them from the place I have do the 3d printing stuff for me.

At the moment, that's the biggest hold up.

I've also started procuring things that I need to make the intake for the 2012+ LFX... With any luck, perhaps they can both be introduced for sale at the same time.

Looking like the end of the year then? No worries. I know developing something like this is a PITA.

One question though this intake should work with the RotoFab washer bottle right? That's one thing I'm not wanting to give up.

I hope this Cold Air Intake works out for you man. You are putting so much work into it.

Take a look at rapid prototyping in wichita. I've been to their facility and used their parts to enclose a display before. They do good work. I'd be happy to ride them for you if you wanna jump suppliers.

Yes it does, I stuck one on for test fit quite some time ago:

I would have figured out how to make it fit if it didn't because I think it looks great, and compliments the look of the engine bay, and intake well.

Thanks, someone else already sent me a pm with another place to check out. I will give them a call. The biggest thing is cost, before the previous place I had used this last time I was quoted anywhere from $350-650 for the MAF mount piece... I paid $72 for the last one, and it was local. The wait at the moment is mostly because the guy is on vacation.

That's cheap! Stick with your guy if you like it. You're not going to find better pricing than that for low volume runs.
