I got the XBOX 360 Kinect 4G as a gift for Christmas, but I wanted PS3 because of GT5, advice please from you gamers, should I keep the XBOX and get Forza or should I bring it back and get the PS3 with GT5, I'm and not sure what to do and if Forza is as good as GT5?

Forza 3 is BAD ASS and the mod options for the vehicles are endless!! I have a RWD converted, Cobalt with a NASTY turbo and some other goodies pushing her to 600hp. Also have 2 or 3 Camaro SS's, 1 pushing 600hp and the other is basically stock.

how does the 2010 Camaro look in Forza, my reason for asking is because I heard it is awesome in GT5, and does Forza have to go through all the license tests like GT5?

Looks just as good. Only difference is I believe in GT5 you can view the inside of the car and it's super detailed while there is no inside view in Forza 3. I'll be hones't I have both. GT5 is fun but Forza is just as fun and I feel less complicated. GT5 offers some new things and has it's good points but I'd say unless you're looking for a blu-ray player. Keep the Xbox. Also there are no license tests in Forza, also in Forza if you screw up bad you can hit a button and "rewind" the race to an earlier point. This is great for newer/younger gamers.

I got my nieces the Kinect for xmas and got to play around with it a little to decide if I need one for myself. (I did the same when the Wii came out.)
My review: Dashboard - In short they need a few more updates. When the system detects a Kinect command (verbal or physical) it directs you to the Kinect Dashboard. The Kinect Dashboard is really lacking some key features. Such as the ability to check non-Kinect messages or turn the 360 off. Gaming - It is pretty much like the Wii but with way better graphics. We played Adventure, Sports, Kinectimals, & Dance Central. Only Adventure and Kinectimals could successfully do a face detection. This may change as it appears that the detection software has a learning process. 95% of the time games ran smooth with no hicups. Will be interesting to see how the hardcore games implement this tool. Overall - LOTS of FUN for KIDS!!!!! With a couple good updates to improve the Dashboard features it will become a tool that hardcore gamers would actually like to have. I'll give it a few years to see where it goes before picking one up for myself. ...and whats up with Netflix not putting out an update to use the Kinect? |
