Wet interior

So I've been out if country for a month, just got back today and took the camaro out with the wife. By chance she lost 20$ under her passenger seat, didn't find it until I got home, and while I was fishing for the money I noticed that the carpet is wet, not damp, but wet on the interior. I know for fact that it wasn't like this before, and there isn't an odor at all. Know for fact that while we were out of country, MD area has some pretty hellacious cold and snow. Any ideas ?

Is this on the Vert or the LS? Front or back floor board?

If its the Vert then it sounds like when the snow melted off the top it drained into the car. Usually this happens when the water management system comes unconnected.

On the LS, id check the door sills and make sure everything is sealed. Someone could sit inside while you spray it with water to see where its leaking...

I have people mention heater core issues with that as a indicator. I hope not, but just a thought. I know you said there was no odor, but you might want to search for bad heater core

I already suffered through a bad heater core about 3k ago. This is just like water compared to that. I kinda wanna lean to the door seal, but I don't believe it, and being as what MD is getting snow covered again, I can't go and wash my car yet. Lol

Maybe the parents drove the car through the car wash with windows open?

Maybe a long shot, but check the cabin air filter for signs of water. It shouldn't be possible for water to enter through the fresh air system, but maybe they made a mistake reassembling the system after fixing the heater core?

I would take it to the dealer as soon as possible just to let them look at it and possibly get it dried out in the shop before it develops mold under the carpet. Mold was a problem with some verts that had water leakage.

What if it's just simple like snow on your shoes? Maybe a water bottle got stuck under the seat and leaked?

Like I said, it wasn't just damp, but WET and my car is clean, no water bottles floating around.

That's pretty strange indeed. Hopefully not heater core issues. Had that happen one time on my 79' Z28 but it was on the passenger floor board.
