Baytown Dragstrip

Anyone ever been to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown on Friday nights? Do they make you wear a helmet?

Only if you run faster than a 13 sec E.T.

It's gonna pour on Friday around here though.

its not lame.....its for your safty. a friend of mine was racing at LSM a while back....something came apart.....at over 100 mph.....oiled down the track.....lost control, because of the oil.....in the prosess, his car rolled SEVERAL TIMES.....TOTALED his Camaro as you might guess. he was a bit shaken, but walked away.....he had his helmet on, as well as his other safety equipment.

You can still run,,, just lift at the finish... it's easy to exrapolate from your 1/8 mile times what you would have run.

Also there will be a group of cars from the H-Town Camaro Club at LoneStar in Sealey on the 19th...
