So just to clarify, for my M6, do i need to add a friction modifier? (if its not already in the oil)

Edit: i think i do since i have the LSD...but just wanted to make sure

didnt with Red Line.....and thats per the store... no problems after 100 miles... plus cheaper than Steelership

Just changed mine today at 33,100 miles. Lots of stuff stuck to both magnetic plugs. Yuck.

I used Mobile 1 75W-90 synthetic in my LFX auto. I think they are the same.

No, the V6 autos aren't limited-slip. The stuff I used was labeled "LS" so it had some friction modifier in it. I asked the parts guy if that would be a problem, and they said it wouldn't. It is a problem if you put stuff with no additives in an LSD, though.

Did this today for the first time after only 24000 miles on my car, and there was probably a half inch of shavings on the bottom screw. Is that normal?
