Question Better MPG?

I own a 1LT RS Camaro. I want to put a new Exhaust on it. My questions are: Can you really getting better MPG from a new exhaust? What exhaust should I get? How much should it cost to install?

Yes but a typical cat-back or axle back will be negligible. Every car is different but on this ones it wont do too much.

Best mod for better gas milage is drive slower.

Worst mod for gas milage I have found is exhaust upgrade. The new found sound will cause you to press the go go peddle harder and more often.

Like everyone posted don't expect mpg gains. The great thing about our cars is you can mod and gain hp and still maintain mpg. With all my mods I still have the same mpg average as i did stock and 30 mpg hwy. I feel I have the best of both worlds for sure. I have @ 350 hp with 6 mpg less than my wife's civic. That is pretty impressive hp to mpg ratio IMO.

......I too have an estimated 350 HP and have seen some great MPG #'s. Here is a little teaser from my spread sheet.

Better Exhaust = Better Sound = Louder = More Energy

More Energy =/= Better MPG
