The Camaro5 1LE on the track action vid/pic thread

I searched our little corner of the Camaro5 forum and couldn't find a similar thread so I figured it was time to start one. We've had a few members post pics and vids of their cars on the track in separate threads but I thought it'd be cool to have a collection of these great track cars in action in one thread. So post up--we want to see your 1LE in action whether at the road course, autox or dragstrip.

Lets see those 1LE's tearing up the track!

Good idea for a thread!
Unfortunately I won't be able to put any pics up until after I leave Hawaii :(
But I'll keep an eye on this one. So far as I know, cornerspeed and tramtwo are the only guys who've tracked theirs already.

Autocross 4/7/13

Took a few pics from an autocross I attended on Sun. I was the only Camaro out of 68 cars. There was a Boss, a couple GT's and a 6-cyl Mustang. The Boss was running one class up from stock as he had a couple suspension mods (he ran Street Prepared).

I showed up and ran the car as it runs straight off the street. No adjustments to tire pressures, suspension or removal of extra weight. I usually do this on the first outing with a new car so I can get an idea where it stands in stock form, then adjust from there.

The course was pretty short and tight, didn't even come close to getting out of 2nd gear. Therefore it favored the smaller cars like the AWD Sube's. With the smaller course, I could definitely feel the added weight of the Camaro over my Grand Sport. However, I was very happy with how neutral the car was. I thought handling was excellent and steering feedback great.

Since this is a pic thread, here's a few pics. I included a pic of the GTO just because it's cool (he was all stock), and to show I wasn't the biggest, heaviest car there.

Went to my first HPDE in the 1LE this weekend at Texas World Speedway. Largely a mustang event (I was one of only two Camaros out of 120+ cars and the other was a stock 2011 who was at his first event ever). As a mustang guy (last two cars were a GT500 and Roush 427 Trak Pak) I knew I'd take a ribbing from some of the guys I knew at the event....but that didn't last long. Ran in the solo intermediate/advanced group and was very pleased with the cars performance....especially as a bone stock car with 1500 miles. I was one of the top four cars in our group (the other were a supercharged 2012 Mustang GT on a nice coilover suspension, a Boss Laguna Seca on slicks, and a mid 2000s Viper running Hoosier R6 tires that were as wide as steam rollers). Passed lots of modified mustangs, Boss 302s, GT500s, a few C5 vettes, and a handful of misc. imports. For such a heavy car I was very pleased with the performance. I'll be getting some additional on track pics in the next couple days.

Me and my nemisis in my group (we had fun going back and forth during several sessions)

They got used to seeing me coming up in their mirror and then watching the 1LE's back end after passing them. This is the view I had much of the day.

Great fun indeed I watched your videos frequently leading up to my event to keep me motivated until I could get out there myself.

No problem. That was the second session first day at Texas World Speedway (first track day in the 1LE). Got 2.7 seconds faster by Sunday afternoon. Really like the 1 LE. For a completely stock set up off the showroom floor it does really well ( especially being a pretty heavy car).

Autox 4-28

Participated in another autox on Sun. This course was designed by the local Subaru club pres so even though it was a larger course, it had a lot of tight areas. Not the best event for a Camaro. It was another opportunity to get comfortable with the 1LE though and the tight course was a chance to hone the skills a bit. I was very happy with the performance of the Camaro given the circumstances. I was even happier that I was able to edge out a driver in a Grand Sport that I used to compete against when I had my Grand Sport. We were both running on stock tires.

On a side note--I was speaking to one of the drivers that has a very fast RX8 and a Boss 302. He just went to the new BFG Rival and was just raving about how good that tire is. The Rival is available in a 285 35 20 so it may be on my radar for replacements when my F1's wear out.
