To be frank, I'd never use an app to transfer money unless it was the only option, and then I'd set up a throw-away account that I only had enough money in to send the cash I want to send.
I'd use a service like Western Union instead.

Can confirm that app is as good as it sounds. I do think there is some really small hidden fees but if that doesn't bother you it's great. It will take a few min to get the bank account info set up on her end and I think it can take as long as 3 days to get the money. If you guys have the same bank I am sure they offer a faster and free service but this is a great alternative. Use pretty regularly to collect fantasy football money, march madness, and pay people for lunch.
