With the PAC kit you get a separate chime module to replace the factory turn signal and door chimes. It sounds a bit chintzy compared to the stock chime but it does the job.

I'm pretty sure you retain the chimes with all three install kit options. The Scosche kit has them built-in, no separate module. They don't sound the same as stock, but not terrible either. The tone for the backup sensors is emitted through the same little speaker as the chimes. The clicking for the turn signals is as well.

I can only speak for the PAC kit. A separate chime module comes with the kit.

I have PM'd Low Saturn about his install and am also keen on the Scosche 2.0 kit. I was going to go PAC but I like the look of this. One question.. It looks like it restricts the view of the lower gauges. Is this the case?
Anyone else used this kit? |

I think it depends on how tall you are and how your seat is adjusted. I've read of all three install kits restricting the view of the gauge in one way or another. But in my case, it barely blocks them at all. I'll see if I can get a picture, keeping the camera lens where my eyes would be.

I ended up going with the Scosche 2.0 (ITCGM01B) kit and a Kenwood Excelon DDX9905s head unit. Couldn't be happier!!!! It looks and works great!!!!

Will either of these work in a 2011 1LS and will they give me the option to Bluetooth through them?

Are the double touch screens adjustable for brightness? I hate bright interior lights at night.

The scosche kit looks like after-market crap. The PAC looks 100% better.

I disagree too. This install doesn't look cheap, aftermarket or crappy.
As much as I like the PAC unit, coz it does look great, I too went with the Scosche 2.0 kit. I just liked the clean modern look of the touch screens. And it's different. Anyway parts are on the way, a new Kenwood DDX9018DABS is coming so all I need now is a decent well priced rear view camera. |

Yes. You can adjust the color scheme (day or night) and also, the brightness of each one.
