No. The '91-'96 Caprice is the one that looked like a whale, particularly the '91-'92 models.

The answer is because whoever was in charge of the redesign must be blind or damned near, it's ugly.

I turned my 2015 GT in this past weekend and looking at a few 2018's in person only confirmed my dislikes. The hood is too flat and dull, the headlights are too low and look too small for such a broad, overly rounded face. The one thing it has going for it that the refreshed Camaro doesn't, is the rear is improved or at least not ruined.

Ford dropped the ball; Chevy stuck a knife in it. Fingers crossed for year-end Stingray deals.
As far I can tell the Ford guys love the 18 now and the sales numbers seem to support that. I don't judge cars from images or even an auto show. I realize that when they are on the street they can present themselves totally different. To each there own but just watch I saw the same people bashing 18's trying to trade their car in for one.

Why do people do this?? Sales have been consistently down since the refresh, hell the Challenger has nearly caught up to Mustang sales as a result. Your statement is untrue on its face. Its cool to like things others don't, more power to you, but straight up distorting reality isn't cool.

I'm sorry I see you are thinking of it just as local numbers I am thinking globally.

https://www.autoblog.com/2018/04/17/...-sports-coupe/

Seems the market is flat or down for sports coupes period which may lead some to think it is one car and/or it's design instead of a market trend overall. By that logic some could say our cars are duds not the "blue whale" in the pictures. I mean if we just looked at the sales number in that way.

No, just no. Per the link you provided:

Global registrations of the Mustang in 2017 totaled 125,809 cars

The refresh was MY 2018, only out for a portion of 2017. Here's monthly sales since the refresh, I'll admit I didn't accurately convey sales either. Definitely a mixed bag, with sales being net down since the refresh:

Oct 2017: down 3%
Nov 2017: up 8.5%
Dec 2017: up 9.2%
Jan 2018: down 6.7%
Feb 2018: down 30% YoY
March 2018: down 5.1% YoY
April 2018: down 11.6% YoY
May 2018: up 10.7% YoY
June 2018: up 16.5% YoY

Ok we're just going to agree to disagree because while they talk bout 2017, the year my Mustang was, the article is speaking of a trend and was referencing 2018 Q1. It is the global sale leader and the coupe market is down generally over all as people move more and more to cross overs. Still it is not a biggy it's what ever.

Not sure how or why that front end made it through the first vote of the design change. Thats the uglliest front end on any Camaro in it 200 year history.

Great stance...Nice tires and wheels....Offer a V-8 in a base model just like that, and you've got a winner at an attractive price...
A v-8 Camaro shouldn't have to be an SS model only...

True...a V8 should be an SS, Z28, COPO or ZL1.
