I routinely see this type of post across the net
"The mustang can be upgraded more, it could then easily compete with the new camaro"
or "The aftermarket isn't as big for the camaro, when they get their car that's it" Is this the case? |

Definitely not. Both are quite upgradeable and have well established aftermarkets. I would say the Mustang market is probably bigger as a whole, but that just means more choices. Dodge is the one with the smallest aftermarket and is probably more limited, but you can still do a lot with them too.

People who say that never owned an import vehicle. Talk about a small market. Not to mention that the OEM support Chevy AND Ford has for their vehicles is absolutely mind blowing, oh and how CHEAP it is compared to imports both aftermarket AND Oem. Hell, just the wheels alone. OEM Forged BBS 18's cost 780 EACH. The 56V low gloss back 20's cost 520 each... That is just WHEELS ALONE. SS wing is 350 (painted), Evo GSR wing without being painted is 490 bucks.
Diablo tuner is 350, Accessport is 400 USED. 500 new. I can name more than 15 LEGIT companies that support both ford and chevy aftermarket parts... And this is my very first "domestic" American muscle car. I can only tell you 3 legit import aftermarket supporters and I have owned imports over 8 years. |

It is true that Mustang owners will have to do some upgrades to match the Camaro

The Camaro has a good aftermarket too. The C7 has the same motor, which means things like cams, heads, even blowers can be used on the Camaro.

Why, because only 12.3 in the 1/4? Seems pretty lame if it has 850HP it only does a 12.3.

Proof Shelby doesn't really build performance cars anymore, just high priced marketing stunts.

Because 850 hp with a direct mount supercharger. Idk how that could be reasonably launched!? A TOOON of tire and great track. Street= worthless.

Yeah. With that horsepower/TQ you would think it should be dipping into the high 10's at least with some drag slicks if the powertrain could handle it. Even at 3,800lbs.
