Developed a slight delay between gears on my SS

So I've noticed lately that there is a delay that has developed in power delivery when shifting gears at WOT. For example... I'll be in second and pin the throttle, then quickly shift up to third (lifting slightly to shift) then immediately back on the throttle. I'll have the clutch fully engaged, and my 'go fast' foot to the floor, and there is what seems like a fully .5 - .75 second delay before the power is kicking back in.... a lot like a someone performing a slow shift.

This has started happening shortly after removing my rear cats, so perhaps that's the culprit. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe I just need a tune? I've been driving high performance manual tranny cars for years now, so I know it's not my technique. I'll be installing some shorties soon (if they ever show up ) so after that I'll perhaps take a trip to the dyno to read my A/F and see what's going on.

Sounds like Torque Management kicking in. It closes the throttle blade if it thinks the car is going to put to much torque on the drivetrain.

traction control is different than torque management.

tons of LS1 camaro's have had this issue, especially the LS2 GTO's. even the cobra's have it. sucks, but that's the way they tune them. You'd have to get a tune to remove it.

It's happening a lot with traction control off too... doesn't seem to make a difference. I had that same thought too when it happened the first time.

Actually, yes they do. It's just way worse in the auto.
