2014 LFX Maintenance Questions
Hi there,
I work Monday - Thursday and my workplace is only a mile away but I have to cross lots of busy streets, so I drive my car to get there safely. My issue is this: I frequently cold my car on those days I work - twice a day, to get to work and back, both only allowing my car’s oil to heat up to 160F. Is this bad for my engine? If so, what can I do to help it? My car is at 46,680 Miles, should I service the automatic transmission fluid as well? Thank you! |

160 is probably hotter than most people let it get to and by extension is actually good.
Transmission fluid / filter change around 50k is also probably a good idea, but I'm one of those people that say you can't do it too frequently.
