Just got mine today from Maureen too! I'm not sure yet where I'm gonna have them installed or if I'm going with an Eaton posi or not! I have all winter so no hurry! Also doing the bushings while I'm at it!

I talked with the parts specialist at John Elway Chevrolet in Englewood, CO. He says they have 3 sets of the 1LE 3.91 gears in stock on the shelf... For those tired of waiting in line. I'm debating picking up a set...

I just finished doing the 3.91 install today. I did all the work except setting up the gears myself. It took about 6 hours in all. I did it on jack stands in my driveway. Dropping the diff and pulling the axles out is an easy job and anyone thinking of doing the job like I did should go for it. As long as you have the tools and the ability to turn a wrench, it's and easy job. All in all, it cost me $750 and 6 hours of my (and about 2 of a friend) time. The worst part of the job had to be getting the stock diff bushings out. A sawzall will work but that shit sucks fat ones! I'd invest in a removal kit if I had to do it again. For less then members like caverman paid for their gears, I've got the whole job. This break in is gonna be the hardest part after those shitty bushings!

Hmm... So assuming I order 22806794 and get the whole pumpkin is there anything else I would need? New bolts? I'm assuming it would be dry and need gear oil. Does anything need to be cannibalized from the old diff or do the old axels just slid into the new one?

You shouldn't need new hardware for anything. Just make sure to put some blue locktite on when you put it back together. Old axles should slide in.

Anyone know if the front ZL1/1LE hubs fit the SS? Since I track figured it's a matter of time before the SS hubs fail. My right rear started making noise before I had to put it away. I'll have the new rears next week.

Has anyone installed the 3.91 gears on a truetrac? I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit but trying to be sure before I order the truetrac.
The documentation I can find on the truetrac only lists the 3.27 and 3.45 gears.
