I'm not 100% positive on the inspection part of it but i dont think nebraska is to hard to please you should be okay..

And for the front plate, i dont plan on putting one on myself probably just stick it in the trunk and if i get pulled over the worst you'll get is a fix-it ticket

I run an Y pipe without cats, so i doubt you'd have a problem.

The worst you can get is a ticket, if the cop is nice you get a fix it ticket. The ticket is about 100 bucks with court fees, I asked the state trooper that pulled me over for it.

It just depends where you live, if you live in Omaha, a cop is hardly ever gonna get the chance to turn around and grab you. But if you live in Norfolk, Fremont, Columbus or anywhere smaller, they will have no problem taking time out of their day to pull you over...ask me how i know.

I never have been stopped in Omaha for anything, EVER. Every time i go to a smaller town, I get harassed, it's ridiculous.

Shouldn't be a problem with the straight pipes, (loud mouth, muffler delete) under normal driving conditions. They do require an inspection if you buy and title a car from out of state, but just moving here I don't think they do anything special.
I'm running rear plate only, so far no issues in town. But what I've been told it's the State Patrol that will bust you for it. That's who ticketed my Kid for his :(
I'll eventually get a retractable bracket, but for now I'll wait till I get a fix-it ticket.

Haha yeah well i live in North Platte.. I give it a week and il probably have to have to put one on there..

I am also plannin on getting all my windows tinted by a guy i trust here in town and he quoted me 300 big ones to tint all five plus 35 for the visor tint.. Does that sound pretty outrageous? I was also wondering what the lowest legal tint was in nebaska.. anyone know?

I paid just under $200 for 35% on the doors, and 20% on the rear three windows, the legal limit. My cousin, with OPD, loves pulling people over for illegal tint.

When I brought my 280Z from CA (15+ years ago) all they really did was check to make sure the numbers matched, and it had working seat blets. Of course it was all stock, (no loud exhaust, etc) so you may want to wait if you are planning major upgrades.

Mike's glass tinting in GI should be below $200 and does a great job. He just finished up my wife's new Impala and did the side windows on my Avalanche. I'm planning on having him do the Maro when it arrives.

Mike
